FCSA U15 GIRLS GO UNDEFEATED

-The First Coast KYX u15 girls completed their perfect Florida Premier State League
record in dramatic fashion. The ladies won the 2006 /2007 Florida Premier State

the ladies the top seed going into the playoffs.

The weekend hosting the playoffs proved to be an eventful one for the KYX. The ladies
opened up the weekend Friday night under the lights with a friendly against the u14
Canadian National team. This game set the tone for the rest of the weekend. Saturday
morning the ladies faced a motivated JYS team. The KYX found themselves down
early, but came back to win 3-1. The semifinals matched the ladies up with a strong
Weston team that knocked out Countryside in penalty kicks.

Once again the KYX went down a goal only to fight back and score two unanswered
goals to win 2-1. This win guaranteed the ladies a place in the final.
The final on Sunday was one for the ages as it provided all the excitement a soccer
game could handle. The KYX were facing a talented MEGU team that defeated Team
Boca in the other semifinal. The KYX scored first only to see their lead equalized on
the restart. The score remained knotted until halftime when the KYX went up again
off a beautiful taking free kick, half 2-1 KYX. The second half started with a bang as
MEGU once again evened the score at two with a free kick of their own. MEGU
continued to push and found a third goal to go up 3-2 on the KYX. The KYX applied
constant pressure in MEGU's half , but could not conjure a goal until the end.

The KYX were awarded a free kick in the last seconds of play. The KYX sent the
entire team into the box including the keeper, who guided the free kick upper ninety
with a header to send the game into overtime. The game saw two scoreless overtime
periods leading up to the penalty shootout. The KYX keeper made two saves and the
KYX shooters converted three shots to give First Coast KYX the victory.

U15 Boys KYX BLUES ADVANCE TO  REGION III PRESIDENTS CUP FINALS

The U15 boys KYX “blues” traveled to Tampa, FL June 8-10, 2007 to participate in the Region III Presidents Cup.

The team had played multiple rounds of this tournament starting with the qualifier in March. They won the Florida President’s cup in May which
qualified them to represent the state of Florida in the Southeast USA Region III which includes teams from Texas, NC, SC, Louisiana, Georgia,
Mississippi, Tennessee and Florida.

Their first game was against an undefeated Louisiana team where they won 2-0. Game 2 was against a tough Texas North team and this time they
were on the losing end 1-0. The next day was the “make or break day” with all teams still in contention to advance. The competition was a team
from South Carolina who opened the scoring quickly. The KYX team played catch-up the whole game but fought back to win 3-2  in the last 10
minutes of the game. This win qualified the team to advance to the coveted semi-finals. Saturday afternoon, in 95 degree heat, the team played a
team from North Carolina. KYX dominated the 1st half but were unable to capitalize on multiple opportunities. Late in the 2nd half, a KYX player
was pulled down in the box and a PK was awarded which was the winning goal. The finals were played at the University of South Florida. First Coast
KYX had to play the defending Region III Champions from South Texas. The game was well – contended but the Texas team was able to capitalize
on their finishing opportunities and had a well-deserved win.

Congratulations to the First Coast KYX Blues on their incredible season!
