As the only U16 Girls recreational team at FirstCoast, these girls played as Champions and won the 2010 District Commisioners Cup.
This team had to travel frequently during the year to Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine, LakeCity, Keystone, and play in many other soccer parks in Florida. The team, coached by William Retana, is comprised of high school girls, many of who play on their school’s soccer teams as well as participate in lacrosse, track, and flag football teams. Many of the games they played with only 10 players or only 1 sub due to SAT testing, AP study classes, and other academic requirements. The girls are honor students in dual enrollment, engaged in early college programs, attend magnets and private schools, and experience rigorous academic schedules.
First Coast Soccer is proud of their achievement this year in the Recreational soccer program and realizes that it takes dedicated and committed players, excellent coaching, supportive parents, and a soccer club that is proud to call them CHAMPIONS!!!!!.
