Weekly Training Sessions (August 11th through October 5th)
Primary session Tuesdays 5:30-7:00;
Second session Wednesdays 5:30-7:00
Beginning August 11th, each Kyx goalkeeper is expected to participate in a weekly training session. The weekly sessions will be split by gender, but will work simultaneously. Weekly training sessions will last 1 hour and 30 minutes, and all sessions will follow a similar format:
- SAQ work
- Fundamentals review
- New techniques and concepts introduction
- Pressure training as proficiency increases
Early season sessions will focus more on fundamentals, fitness and frequent reps, and will transition to more tactical aspects of the position as the season progresses.
The sessions will end early enough that a keeper can join his/her team for the balance of team training should they want to.
