FCSA mission statement–
The mission of FCSA is to offer programs to players of all levels of play and provide them the best opportunity to play at the highest level they want to achieve.
Academy Program Mission statement –
To provide quality programs that provides age-appropriate technical and tactical training in a positive learning environment.
What are the age groups for academy?
Academy starts at U7 (players are 6 and 7 years old) and ends after U12.
At U13, players try out for KYX teams.
U7 players – developmental academy
U8 players – developmental academy
U9 players – developmental academy OR travel academy
U10 players - developmental academy OR travel academy
U11 players - travel academy
U12 players - travel academy
What is the difference between travel academy and developmental academy?
Academy is split into 2 groups – travel academy (U9-U12) and developmental academy (U7-U10).
Developmental academy – focus is on player development and not wins and losses. Players in developmental academy should be focused and motivated to improve their skills. Players are placed are placed in training groups for training and game day teams for games. Everyone who registers is able to participate in the program. Two seasons – fall and spring – play one season or both.
Travel academy – focus is on player development in a team format. Players train with their team and coach/trainer. Players must try out for travel teams in May. Players who try out for travel academy should be highly motivated to improve their skills and play in the program. Teams play a schedule of games appropriate for the level of the team. Games include inter-club play but ½ of the games are at home. Travel teams play in 1-2 tournaments per season. One year commitment to the program.
Can we do recreational and developmental academy?
YES and NO. Academy players play on academy teams and recreational player play on recreational teams. There may be opportunity for some age groups to attend academy training and stay on their recreational team if there are spaces available in a particular age group.
How many days a week is academy?
Developmental academy – 2 days a week, Tuesdays and Fridays, 6-7:30, 12 week program.
Travel academy – 2 days a week, days determined by coach, 12 week program.
When does the program start?
Academy starts in mid-August for fall season and mid-February for spring season.

Is there a separate uniform for academy?
YES. The academy uniform is $25 – it is re-used each year.
What do I get for the extra cost of academy?
These are included in the fees for academy (developmental and travel where appropriate) –
24 training session per season, qualified trainers, program designed for the age of the players, field usage at Patton Park, training shirt, coach compensation, game play and referee fees, player evaluation, Academy Director of Coaching, academy equipment, US club registration (U11, 12 blue teams), Regional cup registration (U11, 12 blue teams).
Are there other programs we can attend?
We have programs running throughout the year. Our main programs are recreational (U5-U19), academies (U7-U12) and KYX premiere (U13-U18).
We also run 3v3 programs (U5-U14), developmental program (U5-U8), fall and spring skills programs (U5-U14), summer camps (U5-U18). All information and registration is on our website.
Are there sponsorship opportunities?
YES – Patton Park is maintained and run by our club out of OUR FEES.
We have sign and field sponsorship opportunities – contact the office for more information.
NOTE – there is NO SMOKING, NO PETS and NO ALCOHOL permitted at Patton Park.
